The 5 mm ball at the end can be unscrewed for easy fitting.
Assembled in France with meticulous attention to detail, it combines refinement, comfort and everyday safety.
Crafted in 750‰ gold or rhodium-plated 925 silver, this jewellery piercing houses a Tahitian cultured pearl selected for its orient and surface (AA+/AAA quality).
The curved, banana-style shank ensures a stable fit, while the unscrewable ball makes it easy to insert.
The name Tahitian pearl refers exclusively to a pearl grown in the Pinctada margaritifera oyster in French Polynesia. Also known as the black pearl for its often dark colour, it should not be confused with freshwater pearls artificially dyed black.
Perfectly round pearls account for only a small proportion of the harvest, which is why they are so sought-after.
Delivered in a Poemana box with a certificate of authenticity for the pearl and the setting.
Tahitian pearls are a product of nature, and a few precautions should be taken to preserve their brilliance: avoid exposing them to corrosive liquids, and preferably store them separately from your other jewellery.
Tahitian pearls need humidity to retain their brilliance. Wear it or put it in your bathroom, for example, to moisturise it.
Frequently asked questions :
Yellow gold, white gold or silver: which should I choose?
Yellow gold offers timeless warmth, white gold a more contemporary look and rhodium-plated 925 silver combines shine and resistance to oxidation.
925 silver = 92.5% silver + 7.5% alloy (usually copper). It is well tolerated by most skin types, but cannot be considered "hypoallergenic" in the strict sense. Rhodium plating applied to the jewellery (guaranteed nickel-free) limits reactions and oxidation a little more, but this layer can wear off over time.
18 k gold (750‰), on the other hand, has very little reactivity and is better tolerated by sensitive skin.
Can it be worn at the beach or swimming pool?
Avoid chlorinated water and rinse with fresh water after swimming. Gently dry the pearl and metal with a soft cloth.
How do I care for a Tahitian pearl?
Wipe it dry after wearing, avoid perfumes and abrasive products, and store the jewel separately to preserve the mother-of-pearl.
